#1. Cooking temperature conversions. Celsius is not in my vocabulary, but it's the only thing she is using, so when I ask for a recipe, I have to do math...I hate math.
#2. Cooking in general. "Hey, what should I make for dinner tomorrow? I have chicken I want to use up."- Me "A whole chicken?"-Taylor "Really? No."-Me. Or the time she told me she bought real milk. From a cow. I asked her what she had been drinking her entire life, fake milk?
#3. Time change. Our schedules are completely off and so we talk at really random times.
#4. The things about the US she misses, I am sick of. For instance, pop corn. It's what she's getting for Christmas (sorry to ruin the surprise, Tay....SURPRISE!)
#5. Using French terms instead of English, but only randomly. Luckily this one isn't a huge problem, because I took French. But I'm still confused sometimes.
#6. Mailing anything literally is ridiculous. Not even price-wise. Her address is completely in French and the only part that I understand is "France" at the very end.
This is literally what I do most days. Awesomely fun communication with foreigners (well, kinda...). If you want to learn more about Taylor (even though she goes by Loretta) you should read her blog!
